This has been a very exciting truffle season for us with the harvesting of our first cultivated truffle in the UK and now a second first harvest at one of our orchards in Macedonia, planted seven years ago. These truffle orchards were inoculated by us with the black truffle fungus (Tuber melanosporum) and managed and monitored through our rigorous scientific methodology. This is good news for North America as we’ve applied the same scientific methods in the American Truffle Company-affiliated truffle orchards. We’re expecting similar success in the very near future with the Robert Sinskey Vineyards Truffle Orchard that we planted five years ago.
Stay tuned – we’ll keep you posted on the progress of our exploratory hunts!
